    VINTAGE SILVERPLATED SUGAR SCUTTLE with SCOOP. The Leonard Silver Manufacturing Company began producing silver plated items in Massachusetts in 1969. The company was bought in 1978 by Towle Silversmiths and the name then become part of the line of products from International Silver Company and Wallace Silversmiths Inc. Leonard Florence was the founder of Leonard Silver. He was the eighth son of an immigrant Russian grocer. Leonard Florence got into silver by working for Raimond Silver Manufacturing Co. in Chelsea, Massachusetts.
