Vintage 1950s Boy Scouts Of America Regal Aluminum Canteen W/ Canvas Carry Pouch

Offering for your consideration is this Vintage Boy Scouts of America 1950’s Aluminum Canteen w/ 100% Cotton Carrying Pouch.
This wonderful old piece of mid 20th century Americana is in very good condition considering it was used for hiking and camping by an Official Boy Scout at least 70 years ago. The aluminum canteen is embossed with the official
'Boy Scout of America' - 'Be Prepared' emblem
and
motto on the front center and 'Regal' the
American manufacturer hallmark on the back
. The plastic screw-on cap is fastened to the canteen by chain which does have some rust. There are some dents, scratches and rubbed spots on the canteen and it is dull but could probably be cleaned and shined although I didn't want to destroy the wonderful patina of the past. The 100 percent cotton carrying case is khaki with snaps at the closure and a webbed and adjustable length carrying strap. The snaps have some slight rust around the edges and the pouch is soiled from use and age but is is free from holes or rips. The
center
front is stamped with the official 'Boy Scout of America' - 'Be Prepared' emblem.
