Another use of this closed bar 2x4 holder is to use it as a 2x4 wood or lumber trailer stake keeper. The neat thing about this trailer stake holder is that the holes that allow the screwdriver to pass through can also be used to put in screws to secure the wooden 2x4 stake itself. Trailer stakes are used to put vertical 2x4 around a trailer so that you can pile up stuff in a trailer and haul more without the stuff coming out.
These would replace complex and ineffective barn latches, barn gate mechanisms, or other simple padlocking mechanisms. You can use this on outdoor sheds too.
