Easyflex- the steel easily bends.
A great solution for separating lawns from planting areas. Develops a gorgeous oxide which protects the steel from corrosion. Not painted or galvanized like other products which will degrade. Provides a durable, artist and crisp edge. Flexible and thick, 11 guage. (1/8 inch) Note that water runoff will produce rust stains. Condition is New. Local pickup only.
Weathering Steel is a steel alloy which is 25% lighter than carbon steel. Your steel will arrive without rust but as it is exposed to external conditions the steel will produce a orange-brown oxide that is resistant to further corrosion, thus increasing its life and durability. The dark brown oxidation that coats the steel does not allow for deeper penetration of wet weather. Essentially the alloys in the steel clog the pores of the steel surface and this results in protecting the inner steel. No painting! It is weldable.
Note that water runoff will produce rust stains.
This steel is comparable to "Cor-ten Steel." The name "Cor-ten Steel" is a trademark name for the steel produced by U.S. Steel.
